We are pleased to advise that MB Canada has recently been granted CIFFA accreditation. CIFFA – which is the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association – represents various parts of Canadian Freight Forwarding and shipping sector and represents its members to the various government agency’s locally and abroad.
Members and sponsors include Freight Forwarders, Sea & Air ports, Rail, trucking companies, port agencies etc. All of which have to meet the minimum criteria to become a member.
CIFFA’s mission is: “to represent and support members of the Canadian international freight forwarding industry in providing the highest level of quality and professional services to their clients.”
The association offers as a minimum: training/courses, networking events, industry specific accreditations and people looking to enter the industry through their career paths initiative.
In order to become a member we had to be vetted and provide the necessary certifications, adhere to the code of conducts and code of ethics as a minimum requirement to ensure that we comply with the association mission statement to provide the highest level of quality and professional service to their clients. This coincides directly with the Martin Benchers group of quality, integrity and code of ethics.
The shipping public in Canada – and around the world, knows that when they are dealing with a CIFFA member they are dealing with a company that meets certain minimum requirements.
