In 2018, Martin Bencher transported 10 engines from Europe to two different project sites in North America.
Each engine weighed 290 tons and measured 14 x 4 x 6 metres. In total 10,000 tons were transported plus 100 containers.
The engines were transported to a local harbour in the Northern USA, and it took more than a year to get acceptance from US Customs of the ship and cargo. Before the operation, surveys of the bottom at the sea were done, and due to shallow water, a mooring arrangement with spacer barges were necessary to unload the engines successfully.
